The students of
recently concluded +2 examinations in Tamilnadu might be in a very busy schedule
for their next progress in the academics for sure. One side students were busy
with the Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) and rest side they are hanging
with the Tamilnadu Medical Admissions (TNMA) indeed. As far as the Tamilnadu
Medical aspirants as concerned, they are bit happy with the cancellation of the
National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) which is earlier the only way to get
the medical seat in Government and Government Aided colleges across India.
Tamilnadu MMBS BDS Medical Admissions
2016:
The Tamilnadu
Medical Admissions for the MBBS and BDS programs were conducted to fill the
seats in 19 Government Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges in Tamilnadu indeed.
According to some of the official sources, there are totally 2555 seats available
for the counseling however, the 383 seats of 2555 will be allotted to the All
India Quota (AIQ) and hence the counseling will be conducted for only 2172
seats indeed.
As the last date
for the Medical Admission counseling in Tamilnadu has been over, students are
looking forward to the merit list and it is expected to release in the
following dates.
TN MBBS BDS Merit List Release Date:
According to the
press release by the Director of Medical Education (Tamilnadu) S.Geetalakshmi, “The
merit list of candidates will be released on June 12 and the first session of counselling will be held from June
19 to 25”.
While asking
about the inclusion of the ESIC Medical Colleges for the counseling, she added
that, “All efforts are being made to ensure that the Medical Council of India
gives the approval to admit students to the new college coming up at Omandurar
Estate”.
Also, According
to selection committee secretary R.G. Sukumar, at present 803 seats were
available in 13 self-financing medical colleges and 1,020 seats in
self-financing dental colleges. Interestingly, out of the 100 seats in dental
colleges, 15 would be allotted under AIQ.
