As dates of TNEA Counseling are approaching thick and fast, students
are now eagerly awaiting the release of Rank List for Colleges of Tamil Nadu. Currently in total about
550 Engineering colleges are affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. All these
colleges under Anna university control were collecting applications from
students for TNEA Counseling 2016 for the past few days. Now the latest update from trusted sources
is that Counseling will likely start by the last week of June 2016.
At this point, still rank list of colleges is not published for the public viewing. This has created a state of unrest among
students seeking first year engineering admissions as it plays a vital role in their decision about selection of colleges at the time of counseling. Every year this rank list for
colleges will be released a few days before the commencement of counseling and based on this list students opt for the best institution available for their cut-off
marks.
The TNEA 2015 cut-off marks for each institution of the
state was released recently. So it is
anticipated that Rank list for colleges for which all students and parents are waiting with their fingers crossed for a long time will also be published in a couple of weeks from now.
